Assen Eyewear was born in 2018. This is my story.
My name is Alex. I am a filmmaker. I live outdoors. My passion has been film and photography since I was a child. A few years ago I became a drone pilot, and started doing crazy things with them.
I love travelling, always with a backpack and my camera and of course, with some colored sunglasses.

History
Assen Eyewear started as a game, as a challenge. The sunglasses I was using in my videos were always a topic of conversation in my social media. People asked. As I’m a small content creator, brands I’d ask would ignore me completely.
I decided to do it myself. What is cooler than creating your own product about something you love? I started looking for the production, creating the designs, the boxes… And thanks to your help, what started as a simple hobby, turned into a real project.
And now you’re also ready to enjoy these sunglasses

Inspiration
I have always been passionate about sunglasses. And if you know me, you know that the more colored, the better.
In my work and in my life, I like well developed and high quality products, so my sunglasses had to be aligned.
When your life’s passion is always surrounded by the sea, mountains and nature, you gotta protect your vision. This is why MY story is also YOUR story, and I am so thankful.

Our Mission
I'm a responsible person, I care about the world we live in, I care about the planet we are leaving to our children. If I can have at least a tiny responsibility on this matter, I will do my best. This is why all Assen Sunglasses use natural recycled materials. Frames, temples and boxes are all made out of reused wood or bamboo materials
